Eligio (Kika) de la Garza Congressional Papers
The Congressional Papers of Eligio "Kika" de la Garza consist of approximately 425 linear feet of materials dating from 1965 - 1996. The bulk of the papers date from 1965-1980 and 1989-1996. The papers were created during Kika de la Garza's time as an elected official in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1965 - 1996, representing the 15th Congressional District in South Texas.
Elmer William Flaccus Collection
Collection contains research materials and notes concerning the War of 1812, especially Guadalupe Victoria, Mexico's first constitutionally elected president (1924-1829), John Henry, a British spy during the War of 1812, and notes about Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first American Minister to Mexico (1825-1829).

Floyd Hurtial Rodgers papers
File contains photocopied documents concerning Floyd H. Rodgers, primarily his airplane pilot's license being revoked because of a low acrobatic flying incident. At one time, Mr. Rodgers was a supervisor at the Mission, Texas airport.
Footprints in the sands of Zapata County Collection
The collection contains 10 life histories (with authorization forms) of individuals from Zapata County. Life histories were collected by the Zapata County Historical Commission and compiled by Colonel Robert W. Fish. Files include life histories, "Four Generation Ancestor Chart," photocopies of photographs, awards, and news clippings associated with each individual.
Fort Brown Mexican Border War Scrapbook
This scrapbook contains photographs of scenes around Brownsville, San Benito, and Point Isabel. Photographs depict soldiers daily living while in camp or in the march during the Mexican Border War of 1916. The photographs were taken during the summer and fall of 1916.
