Amada of the Gardens film

The collection contains documents, slides, audio, and video materials relating to Amada Cardenas (1904-2005), who at the time, was the oldest living licensed merchant of the holy sacrament of the Native American Church. The Gardens is located in Mirando City in the South Texas brush land. Religious pilgrims would trek annually to the Gardens, one of the few places in the United State where their sacrament, peyote, grows.
