Augustine Celaya Jr. Papers
The papers contained in one legal size archival box mainly document the executive career of Augustine Celaya Jr. with the Union Carbide Corporation. These consist of photos, correspondence, two oral history interview tapes and assorted corporate documents.
Barry Horn Postcard Collection
This collection consists of eighteen letterpress halftone postcards pertaining to Cameron County and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The photographs were taken by Robert Runyon and the postcard booklet was made by Curt Teich & Co. of Chicago, Illinois in 1927.
Betty Murray Papers
This collection consisting of four document cases chronicles Betty Murray's efforts to protect and document the Lower Rio Grande Valley and state history. Her personal papers are also included.
Brownsville City Commission Collection
The collection consists of seventeen document boxes of records of the Brownsville City Commission. Included are meeting minutes, brochures, city notices, building documents, and correspondence. The main years covered are 1997 to 2001, but there is some information from 1991 and 1994 as well.
Brownsville Newsletters Collection
The collection consists of ten newsletters from organizations located in Brownsville, Texas. The newsletters chronicle the history and development of Brownsville and topics include art, architecture, businesses, higher education, historical accounts, events, notable people, preservation, transportation, and industry.
Brownsville Photograph Collection
The collection includes historical photographs of people, places, and events from locations across the Lower Rio Grande Valley, including but not limited to Brownsville, San Benito, Harlingen, Mercedes, Mission, and Rio Grande City. Photographs are in a variety of formats, including aerial, postcards, silver gelatin, etc.
Bruce Underwood Collection
The collection consists of nine boxes of newspapers, newspaper clippings, typescripts, correspondence, college notebooks, course syllabuses, grade books, awards, and other material. The papers document Underwood’s career in journalism and academia.
Christopher Carmona Collection
This collection consists of a 1911 Hidalgo County Texas General Land Office grant map and a 1992 Texans & Winter Texans International Spring Festival brochure highlighting the Bandit wars.
Clotilde P. Garcia Reference Collection
The collection consists of one box that contains documents pertaining to Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia. The contents include books she published, biographical sketches, awards, publications, resume, and other supporting documents. Dr. Clotilde Pérez García was a noted physician, activist, author, educator, and sister of civil rights activist Hector P. García. Additionally, she was one of the first Mexican-American women in Texas to enter the medical profession.

Palo Alto/Mexican War Research Collection
This collection of three document cases consists of research material pertaining to the Battle of Resaca de la Palma and the Battle of Palo Alto, as well as the overall Mexican-American War. Included are primary sources and reproductions of battle maps, books, reports, and surveys as well as published booklets, invitation, flyers, and newsletters published by the Palo Alto National Historic Site; the only National Park in South Texas.
