Howard Smith was born in 1905. He talks about the hurricane damage in Galveston, life in the early days of San Benito, the development of Alamo and San Juan.

Interview conducted on 4 October 1985 by Robert E. Norton. Digital transfer completed on 11 March 2014 from the original analog cassette tape.
