57 photographs and one negative. One photograph captioned to verso: "H.C.W.I.D. No. 4 Installing a 37.5 - 20 a the Highway relift. May 7th. 1925." Depicts installation of a steam shovel for a Hidalgo County Water Improvement District Project in South Texas, along the Rio Grande. This belongs to a series of photographs with similar purple stamps from a San Antonio photographer depicting steam shovel operations, laborers, and ditch digging in the 1920s. the steam shovel has a sign on it...
